 RAVANA           After the end of the "Manu" dynasty in the Sinhala (Sri Lankan) dynasty, history mentions three more dynasties.  These are the stars [10,000 years ago], Mahabali [7,500 years ago], and Ravana [5,000 years ago].  Information about the Ravana Maharaja of the Hela Yakkha dynasty can be found in many places in Kotmale, Kuragala, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and more than a thousand inscriptions which have not yet been found or left unread in archeology.  Also, the name of the emperor "Sri Ravana" is mentioned as "Kaurana Mantaka" in the Puskola book belonging to the Yakkha people called "Vargapurnikawa" which is an older document than the Mahavamsa.  Ravana can be identified as a great sage, a brilliant ruler, a brilliant Ayurvedic physician and a well-known harpist.  He is sometimes referred to as Dasis Ravana (having ten heads).  Confirming this, a clay tablet discovered in 1998 says that even the Babylonian civili...

 One day  I was on my way home from my  car, when it was a very dark night and it was raining hard. while I was driving , a girl stopped in my car and asked me if I could give her a lift .It was raining heavily at the time so I gave her lift. She lived in a house on a hilltop . I parked the car in front of her house. Then i looked in the back of the car to see if she was getting out of the car. She was sleeping in the vehicle at the time. So I went to the door of the house she had previously shown to me and knocked on the door. I knocked on the door a few times and then an elderly grandmother came and opened the door . I told her " I gave your daughter a lift. She is sleeping in the car so you can take her home if you can." At that moment she laughed terribly.  KALUHAMY AND THE BEGGAR  Once upon a time there lived a Gama -rala and his wife who had daughter by name of Kaluhamy. They loved her dearly, for she was the only child they had. But unfortunately she died at an early age and this saddened the parents very much. Not long after this sad event there came a very lean beggar to the house when the Gama-rala was out in the field. Seeing the miserable state of the beggar, the sorrowing mother of Kaluhamy took pity on him and inquired how he had got so lean. The beggar replied " E-lova gihin me-lova ava" ( I have just returned from the other world ) .He meant of ourse that he had been very, very ill recently and had just escaped death. But the foolish woman thought that he had really gone to the other world, and asked him if he had not seen her doughter, Kaluhamy, there . Seeing that the woman was a very foolish person, the beggar gave a cunning answer. He said " Of course, I know Kaluhamy there. In fact I who married her"....

  Sri Lanka is our island home .It lies in the Indian Ocean to the south of India. It is 432 kilometers from north to south, and 224 kilometers from east to west.  ABERDEEN FALLS It is simply 98m high and seems like falling down to earth from the sky.White water coming down from 300+ feet height spreading mist everywhere. This picturesque waterfall on the Kehelgamu oya is Aberdeen falls which belongs to Ambatale Pradeshia Saba and situated in Nuwara eliya district. Myself, Hansani, Dinesha, Nethmi and Ann  went to Aberdeen falls recently to enjoy the scenic beauty and the serenity of nature. The owner of the 'Mystic falls Bunglow' where we seeked for accommodation arranged a terrific boat ride into the falling water of Aberdeen falls. Once we were underneath the fall we feel like the chilly waters are pouring down to earth from the milky way. We had to climb down through a forestry area for a half kilometer to reach the majestic water fall. A gang of youngster were having a bath when we reach there. We have been practicing for art day about two months. We were getting ready for a beautiful art day themed on the Kandyan kingdom of senkadagala.     Dance rehearsal, rehearsals for a play, stage set design, costume design, music rehearsals, and launching a magazine for art day were all part of led by 13 D arts class. Everything was a new experience for everyone . We recognized our abilities and shared those abilities with each other .  'Medea' This play was the first Greek play I contributed to. We were able to win first place in the youth drama category at the RAJAINS THEATRE  FESTIVAL'17 as well as the all island achievements. The reason I especially remember this story is that ,the mother in the story kills her own two children to revenge the father. the story was tragic, but throughout the story there was a lot to bring to life .   This play written by Euripides, based upon the myth of Jason and Medea and first produced in 431 BC. Medea , in Greek mythology, an enchantress who helped Jason, leader of the Argonauts, to obtain the Golden Fleece from her father, King Aeetes of Colchis. She was of divine descent and had the gift of prophecy.   'People are different from one another.' R ecently I read an article on 'Personality' and it's made me think about my own personality. After reading it ,I started wondering how my friend feel me. This inspired me to find more about this topic.     A lot of  people think people recognize them by their name ,but people still remember and identify us with our qualities and behaviours. So each person is unique. This is the result of our unique personality. Personality can be explained by partners and personal characteristics.
